Welcome to IWG Tunis! The IWG (International Women's Group), Tunis, is a non-profit organisation for women from around the world, presently residing in Tunisia. Its easy, multicultural atmosphere attracts expat ladies to join the group. We share and enjoy good moments together. We have currently more than two hundred members from 43 countries. The focus of the IWG is to help the expat ladies to settle down in Tunis and feel at home. To achieve this, we have set up many activity groups within the IWG. It enables members to participate in small group activities of their own interest, and share experiences and information about Tunisia and their own nations with other members. Our activities are highlighted by the monthly IWG Coffee Mornings which offer a great opportunity to the members to make friends and explore their new home away from home. Members of the IWG actively participate in charity activities, and organize fund-raising bazaars in spring and winter. The funds raised through these are donated to different Tunisian charities to meet some of their financial needs.

IWG Update (2012MAY21)

Dear Ladies,


More than 40 ladies have signed up for our forthcoming lunch gathering at Mamie Lily restaurant. If the restaurant had capacity for more than 40 people, I wished not to introduce a waiting list. Unfortunately, I have to. Many thanks to Angela's great idea and also many thanks to those ladies who are showing interest to the event, we are all very much looking forward! 


Our May program is going to be completed with our Coffee Morning Gathering at the Mövenpick Hotel on May 31st, Thursday. Please do not forget to bring in your plastic bottle caps if you attend the gathering. Rim is going to collect them on the gathering.

Now, even though it still has a little cold draft from time to time. Summer is definitely coming. As promised in our last coffee gathering, I am delivering to everyone a evening gathering program on June 8, Friday. After working the whole week either at home or in the office, a chill-out gathering with family or friends at the harbour, facing the sea would be quite an ideal choice. I have made a reservation for a special IWG evening gathering at the Club Nautique at Sidi BouSaid harbour. Family members are highly welcome. (children under 15, half price) We will start a cocktail at 7pm followed by a buffet dinner. For menu details, please check the info on "Ongoing Events" or in the email which I sent to everyone earlier on Monday. For drinks which are not listed in the menu, can be ordered separately at the bar. Please sign up with "Evening gathering" in the subject line to "iwgtunis@hotmail.co.uk" before June 6.
