IWG Update
Dear Ladies,
After July and August a long summer break, we successfully held our first IWG coffee gathering on September 20th. More than 50 ladies participated. I was so happy to meet so many old and new friends on the event. Charlotte's presentation was the highlight on that day. She presented us her passion for fiber art with nice photos and explanations. Well done, Charlotte and thanks very much!
Today, we just stepped into October. The weather is also getting more pleasant, don't miss this good opportunity to participate IWG's events. Here are some ongoing events for October.
IWG October Coffee Gathering is going to take place on October 18, Thursday at the Mövenpick Hotel in Gammarth. Fiona Jack is going to present us another interest topic about the architecture and people of Uzbekistan. Her presentation is "A Small Section of the Silk Route". Fiona is an IWG member. This is her second time making a presentation at our IWG coffee gathering. Fiona has traveled nearly 100 countries all over the world and published many of her travel notes. If you want to follow Fiona "escape" to see the Silk Route, please sign up to "iwgtunis@hotmail.co.uk" with "Oct cafe" in the subject linebefore October 16th.

This updated schedule is going to be published on the IWG Blog as well.
If you wish to enjoy some "quiet" sessions, learning oil painting from Sandhya or playing Mah Jong with some old hands from the group might be your ideal choices. Details please refer to the Groups & Activities on the IWG Blog.
Samia Ben Amar who is heading up our IWG Charity Group sent me a good news about the ASDA. ASDA is a special school for deaf children located in Borg Sidria (outside Tunis). During previous charity visits to the school, we noticed the urgency of renewal their educational equipments. Hence, IWG sponsored two sorts of sewing machines to the ASDA before the school vocation. Now with the opening of school, ASDA has received new machines. Samia forwarded me some photos about the event. I am happy to share them with you on our IWG Blog. Many thanks Samia for all your efforts!
Wishing all of you a good start into October.
See you soon,
Meng
