About IWG Tunis

Welcome to IWG Tunis! The IWG (International Women's Group), Tunis, is a non-profit organisation for women from around the world, presently residing in Tunisia. Its easy, multicultural atmosphere attracts expat ladies to join the group. We share and enjoy good moments together. We have currently more than two hundred members from 43 countries. The focus of the IWG is to help the expat ladies to settle down in Tunis and feel at home. To achieve this, we have set up many activity groups within the IWG. It enables members to participate in small group activities of their own interest, and share experiences and information about Tunisia and their own nations with other members. Our activities are highlighted by the monthly IWG Coffee Mornings which offer a great opportunity to the members to make friends and explore their new home away from home. Members of the IWG actively participate in charity activities, and organize fund-raising bazaars in spring and winter. The funds raised through these are donated to different Tunisian charities to meet some of their financial needs.

IWG Update

Ladies,

I am very pleased to announce, two young and active ladies have volunteered to join our IWG management team to contribute their time and efforts on IWG admin side.

Gillian Stewart is our new Admin Support lady. Gillian will look after IWG new member sign-up, event name list and some administrative tasks for IWG. In addition to the Admin role, Gillian is also willing to take the challenge of being a blog writer. Hence, her second voluntary role is in charge of IWG Blog, writing and sharing good articles with all of us.

Michelle Bashir is our new Event Admin who will be assisting me to organise IWG coffee gathering and other IWG events.

Please join me in wishing both young ladies all the best for their new roles at IWG. Both Gillian and Michelle will attend our forthcoming coffee gathering next Thursday. I will also introduce them personally to the group.

On the group side, I heard some feedbacks from our Mah-Jong Group Head, Hanne whose group was looking for new members to join in. If you like to learn this interesting traditional Chinese game and meanwhile socialize with other ladies, please contact Hanne at 50963043.

For ladies who wish to join our Walking Group, here is the new schedule prepared by our Walking Group Head, Charmaine. Her contact number is 26441293.
