Welcome to IWG Tunis! The IWG (International Women's Group), Tunis, is a non-profit organisation for women from around the world, presently residing in Tunisia. Its easy, multicultural atmosphere attracts expat ladies to join the group. We share and enjoy good moments together. We have currently more than two hundred members from 43 countries. The focus of the IWG is to help the expat ladies to settle down in Tunis and feel at home. To achieve this, we have set up many activity groups within the IWG. It enables members to participate in small group activities of their own interest, and share experiences and information about Tunisia and their own nations with other members. Our activities are highlighted by the monthly IWG Coffee Mornings which offer a great opportunity to the members to make friends and explore their new home away from home. Members of the IWG actively participate in charity activities, and organize fund-raising bazaars in spring and winter. The funds raised through these are donated to different Tunisian charities to meet some of their financial needs.

Dear Ladies,

On 12.12.12 this lucky and unique day, 40 ladies attended our IWG Year-end Luncheon Gathering at Sindbad Club Restaurant. We had warm atmosphere, delicious food, nice company and of course fabulous sea-views! All ladies fully enjoyed it. Many thanks to Kristina who arranged venue and menu for us! It made our IWG traditional Year-end Gathering completed with glamour.  

I also had very positive feedbacks from ladies who attended our last Christmas Baking Session at Anne's house. Everybody liked it so much. It was a wonderful session. Thanks very much to Anne who organized and hosted it!

Initially, below two events were on the schedule for December. However, now both of them have been postponed to January and February next year. 

One is the Tour to Medolea Olive Grove. It is now postponed to the week of February 18th, 2013. Most likely, we will orgnise two trips to Medolea - one happens during the week day and another one at the weekend. The exact date, time and details will be announced in February 2013. 

Another event is the Breakfast Gathering for Young Moms. Since many moms left for different destinations at the holiday season. We decided to postpone the gathering to January 2013. In January, instead of breakfast gathering, we will have a special cooking session for preparing food for baby and preschooler at the Mille et Une Saveurs in Berges du Lac. Many thanks to Angela who organising the event! The session will take place in the last week of January. Details will follow in January. 

An announcement from Sandhya who is heading up our Oil Painting Group - an oil painting(Ballet shoes) which sold on the IWG Bazaar has not been picked up by anybody. In case you are the one who forgot to pick it up, please contact Sandhya at 22704078 immediately. Thanks!


Ladies, it is a holiday season now. IWG Tunis will also participate this celebrating period by having a short period of break. May I take this opportunity to wish everybody here a Happy Holiday Season and to all ladies who are celebrating, I wish you and your family
