Tunis
Welcome to IWG Tunis! The IWG (International Women's Group), Tunis, is a non-profit organisation for women from around the world, presently residing in Tunisia. Its easy, multicultural atmosphere attracts expat ladies to join the group. We share and enjoy good moments together. We have currently more than two hundred members from 43 countries. The focus of the IWG is to help the expat ladies to settle down in Tunis and feel at home. To achieve this, we have set up many activity groups within the IWG. It enables members to participate in small group activities of their own interest, and share experiences and information about Tunisia and their own nations with other members. Our activities are highlighted by the monthly IWG Coffee Mornings which offer a great opportunity to the members to make friends and explore their new home away from home. Members of the IWG actively participate in charity activities, and organize fund-raising bazaars in spring and winter. The funds raised through these are donated to different Tunisian charities to meet some of their financial needs.

IWG Update

Dear Ladies,

I hope, you are all doing well.

Before I left for my vocation at end of April, I had an internet disconnection. This problem has just been fixed now after my return to lovely Tunis. I am so glad, I can communicate with everybody via email again. Please forgive me for my delay of answering your emails due to this inconvenient problem of internet connection.

We are now in the second half of May. There are two interesting IWG events are waiting for us.

May 28, Tuesday
IWG International Cuisine - Italian Flavor
Anne Theres is organizing the event. Details will be followed soon.

May 30, Thursday
IWG May Coffee Gathering
Angela and I are working on it at moment. You will hear from us shortly.

Except our own events, Mr Hentati, the Curator of the Ennejma Ezzahra Palace Museum in Sidi BouSaid kindly forwarded me two extremely interesting concerts programs taking place in the Palace at end of May and beginning of June. I share it with all of you here.

May 31,  Friday
at 19h30 : Maluf concert based on the  archives of baron R. D’Erlanger

June 1, Saturday
at 19h30:  Tunisian spiritual music concert, based on the archives of baron R. D’Erlanger.

As many ladies who have visited the Palace Museum know that the Museum is looking for "helping hand and mind" for their projects of improving and refreshing interior decoration items such as cushions and bed covers. The museum is also most welcoming ladies who have passion for making a beautiful garden. If anyone who is interested in participating the museum projects, please do let me know.

Talking about the "helping hand", our IWG Blog team is actually also looking for ladies who are specialized or very skillful in computer and particularly in Blog design. As a member of the team, Caitlin, Gillian and I are trying to make an easy, better and more user friendly IWG Blog for all of us. Caitlin has spent a lot of her private time by consulting an IT specialist to design a new layout. Our IWG Blog belongs to every IWG member. We do need your help and we do appreciate your help. For ladies who wish to have an update about our current IWG Blog, please use this link.
