Welcome to IWG Tunis! The IWG (International Women's Group), Tunis, is a non-profit organisation for women from around the world, presently residing in Tunisia. Its easy, multicultural atmosphere attracts expat ladies to join the group. We share and enjoy good moments together. We have currently more than two hundred members from 43 countries. The focus of the IWG is to help the expat ladies to settle down in Tunis and feel at home. To achieve this, we have set up many activity groups within the IWG. It enables members to participate in small group activities of their own interest, and share experiences and information about Tunisia and their own nations with other members. Our activities are highlighted by the monthly IWG Coffee Mornings which offer a great opportunity to the members to make friends and explore their new home away from home. Members of the IWG actively participate in charity activities, and organize fund-raising bazaars in spring and winter. The funds raised through these are donated to different Tunisian charities to meet some of their financial needs.

IWG Update

Dear Ladies,

I hope, you all started well in June. 

Last Saturday, together with many exciting audiences, we enjoyed a traditional Tunisian concert - Nûbah Sîkah at the Ennejma Ezzahra Palace in Sidi BouSaid. The artists' excellent performance left me a very deep impression about the real Tunisian traditional music. Those vivid melodies reflect daily life and people from our hosting country - they are warm, optimistic and honest. I bought a CD after the concert so that I can enjoy those lovely melodies from time to time. 

Since June is our last month before our IWG Tunis's summer break, we will have two organized IWG events this month. One is our June Coffee Gathering on June 20th, Vicki-Ann Cremona,     the Ambassador of Malta is going to be our guest speaker. Another one is our Closing Lunch Gathering on June 28th. As so many ladies like Sindbad, we plan to have our lunch gathering there so that we can enjoy great companies, delicious food and in addition beautiful sea views.
I will send details about our June events in separate emails soon. 
 
About our International Cuisine in June, after discussed with Anne, we have decided to shift the session to September when we re-open again after the summer break.  

One of our IWG members, Aicha Labidi will hold her art exhibition on June 16, 18h at The Golf of La Soukra CHOUTRANA II. Aicha asked me to pass this news on to all members. Everybody is welcome to visit her exhibition.
