Welcome to IWG Tunis! The IWG (International Women's Group), Tunis, is a non-profit organisation for women from around the world, presently residing in Tunisia. Its easy, multicultural atmosphere attracts expat ladies to join the group. We share and enjoy good moments together. We have currently more than two hundred members from 43 countries. The focus of the IWG is to help the expat ladies to settle down in Tunis and feel at home. To achieve this, we have set up many activity groups within the IWG. It enables members to participate in small group activities of their own interest, and share experiences and information about Tunisia and their own nations with other members. Our activities are highlighted by the monthly IWG Coffee Mornings which offer a great opportunity to the members to make friends and explore their new home away from home. Members of the IWG actively participate in charity activities, and organize fund-raising bazaars in spring and winter. The funds raised through these are donated to different Tunisian charities to meet some of their financial needs.

IWG Update


Dear Ladies,

Welcome back to our beautiful host country, Tunisia!
I hope, all of you had a wonderful summer time.

I am glad to receive emails sent by members to IWG's mailbox asking about our next gathering as soon as they are back from holiday. It shows how eager our members wish to  participate IWG's event and activities.  In another hand, it also shows how close IWG and members are connected. 

I am also very happy to receive requests sent by ladies who are freshly settled in Tunis wishing to join us at IWG Tunis. Most of them heard IWG from old members who left Tunis for their new destinations not long time ago. Here, I want to take this opportunity to thank those old members warmly for passing on your social highlight  in Tunis to your successor and friends. I wish you good luck at your new host country. Also, I wish to welcome freshly joined new members or potential new members. I hope, you will find IWG's events and activities are interesting. Through IWG Tunis this huge multi-cultural   platform, I hope you will find some new friends in Tunis soon. 

Now, everybody is interested to know what and when is going to be our next IWG Coffee Gathering. After discussed with Angela who is in charge of organizing events at IWG Tunis, I am delighted to announce, we will have our September IWG Coffee Gathering on September 26, Thursday at 10am at Sadika in Gammarth. Sadika is famous for her beautiful glass work in Tunis. We will have an unique chance to experience how a piece of glass art is made. I will send out a separate email about all details to everybody for the purpose of signing up. Please do not miss this good opportunity to participate. 

At the end of this edition Newsletter, I wish to put an advancement on behalf of the IWG Management Team to look for a successor of our Admin Support to replace Gillian who is leaving Tunis soon. Gillian has done a fantastic job since she volunteered taking this important role in 2011. Many of our IWG members were signed up to join IWG by Gillian. Anybody who is interested in the role, please notify me (Admin Support in the subject line) by sending email to "iwgtunis@hotmail.co.uk".
